Biobrain®AutomationPlatformProduct FamilyBiobrain® is the new Sartorius automation platform supporting the bioreactors Biostat STR® Generation3 and Biostat® RM for PD to CM facilities. Biobrain® supports native connectivity to BioPAT® MFCS or the ability to connect to 3rd party systems such as data historians or SCADA & DCS systems for data acquisition or with phase level integration.
Biobrain® powered systems have the features to support traditional batch processes and are ready to support a customer’s process intensification journey with recipe control and user guidance supporting the operator in single-use setup processes or integrated PAT and ATF control.
Recipe can be created through Sartorius services or using the Biobrain® Recipe editor software (based on BioPAT® MFCS) that can be upgraded at any time to a fully functional BioPAT® MFCS to extend data storage, cross unit analysis, process visualization and remote alarming.
Biobrain® will continually evolve with a life cycle that meets the needs of our customers, extending the instrument types, features and security needed to meet a BioPharma 4.0 future.

The BioPAT® Xgas, can monitor exhaust gas from bioprocesses in real time. It is a dual oxygen-carbon dioxide sensor featuring automatic compensation of humidity and pressure. The oxygen concentration can be measured in a range of 1 – 50% and the carbon dioxide concentration in a range of 0 – 10%
