Sartovent® DG filter cartirdges are the ideal solution for sterile ventilation of transport containers as well as sterile filtration of fermentation air. Moreover, Sartovent® DG is convenient for sterile filtration of pressurised air and gases which are needed for filling and emptying tanks, containers, filling machines, transport containers, autoclaves and lyophilisators. High flow rates: In spite of its relatively small filtration area of 0.05m², the minimal resistance at filtration of pressurised air enables draining speed of 1000l in 10 min. Permanent hydrophobicity: The PTFE membrane is inherently water-repellent and the most hydrophobic membrane of all used air filter membranes. Even repeated autoclaving or steaming does not affect the membrane. Therefore, sterile filtration of dry or liquid air or different gases is being provided. Pressure-resistant and testable: The cartridges resist high differential pressures in direction of filtration and backwards. The filter structure of the membrane stays attached even at pressure impulses and high flow speeds and provides function testing of the filtration system via integrity testing. Flushing: For the filtration of gases, no flushing is required before use. For the filtration of liquids, flushing could be reasonable for ensuring the absence of any particles in the entire system. Sterilisation: Autoclaving or in-line-steaming up to 134°C is possible whereat the differential pressure should not exceed 0.5 bar. The filter cartridge can be steam sterilized in any direction. A secure hold of the cartridge adapter within the filter housing is the condition for backward steaming.
