The Octet® Anti-Glutathione-S-Transferase (GST) Biosensors are coated with a high affinity anti-GST antibody and offer a rapid and label-free method for both quantitation of GST-tagged biomolecules and kinetic analysis of GST fusions and interaction partners. The high specificity of the antibody-based biosensor enables the direct quantitation of GST-tagged analytes in crude lysates, column eluents, cell lysates and cell culture supernatants, serving as an alternative to traditional time-consuming analytical methods.

Flexible Applications

  • Octet® GST Biosensors offer unprecedented ease of use and time to result for a wide variety of applications that include:
  • Rapid quantitation of GST fusions (purified and crude)
  • Kinetic characterization of interactions between GST-tagged proteins and binding partners (purified and crude)
  • Easy epitope binning / mapping
  • Cell line monitoring in bioprocessing during upstream fermentation, downstream harvest and purification, process development and quality control steps

Cost-Effective Regeneration

For kinetic characterization measurements, the Octet® GST Biosensors can be regenerated up to 10 times using a standard low-pH protocol, thus providing a cost-effective solution when analyzing a large number of samples or generating replicate data for ligand-analyte pairs. Regeneration detaches the captured ligand and bound analyte, clearing the surface for subsequent analyses.
